Easy to use
When your Saxon reaches the top of your stairs, simply use the handy swivel lever to turn your chair to the landing so you can get off and on safely and easily. For added safety, the Saxon can remain in the swivelled position to form a barrier at the top of the stairs.
The simple-to-use Saxon stairlift has been designed to make your life easier and will help you to rediscover your independence. The wall-mounted controls at the top and bottom of the stairs make it easy to call the stairlift wherever you are.

This means you will need to raise and lower the track manually. The gas strut assisted hinge is designed to make manual operation as easy as possible. |  |
If you choose the powered swivel option the seat swivel is operated by continuing to hold the toggle when you arrive at the top of the staircase. The seat will move automatically while the toggle is activated. Our powered swivels have a manual override for emergency release to improve stairway access if required |

If you have a manual swivel you will find a handle at either side of the seat. By pressing either handle down, or pulling it up*, you can swivel the seat around to face the landing, where it will lock in place, allowing you to dismount safely. |  |
A powered footrest folds the stairlift footplate up with the press of a button, which is usually on the armrest. This is the best option available for independent access for getting on and off your stairlift if you need to keep your stairlifts folded up for most of the time. |
